Fantastic night was had at the Playhouse 2 where Dobcross Silver Band played a concert full of variety to a packed and enthusiastic audience. Traditional marches and hymns were mixed with popular tunes and film music including some exciting soloist performances. Such a lovely theatre and it was great to see so many supporters braving horrendous weather conditions to be there. We were delighted to have Oldham Community Radio (99.7FM) in attendance and they will be playing a number of recordings from the concert on the station on Weds 8pm, and we expect this will remain available as a podcast.

The Silver Band now move on to Contests at Rochdale and Darley Dale followed by our annual Remembrance Concert at the Band Club. Then the Christmas season is upon us with the Oldham Reindeer Parade. We hope to see many of our friends at these events in the weeks ahead.
