The Silver band competed at the Boarshurst March & Hymn contest on Sunday 1st September, and were delighted to add another trophy to the cabinet by taking home the prize for the best 3rd section band.

The band played the hymn “Colne” followed by the march “Knight Templar” and was judged to have come 2nd in the Hymn tune and 3rd in the March contests respectively, which meant we came joint 2nd overall with fellow neighbours Delph, with The Middleton Band taking the top honours in both the Hymn and March.
