The Silver Band celebrates 150 years since its foundation in 1875 with TWO special concert events scheduled this year.

The first one on 29 March will be in the heart of our community, in the beautiful setting of the Holy Trinity Church where we will be joined by guest soloist Mike Cavanagh, solo baritone with Black Dyke Band. Mike played for a number of years with the Silver Band and has since become one of the most talented young musicians in the country. Please note the date in your diary!! Tickets available shortly.

Later in the year we have a Gala concert in the Civic Hall planned where we will be joined by the Dobcross Youth / Training Bands and also the Dobcross Brass Monkeys, an event which will really showcase the range of talent which continues to be developed and nurtured in Dobcross.
