The Silver Band were proud to compete yesterday in the 2nd Section at the North West Area Qualifying Contest at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool. This follows our promotion after winning the 3rd Section National Finals in September 2025.

Drawn to play number 3, the band delivered a strong performance and were delighted to be placed a very creditable 4th out of 19 bands — narrowly missing out on another trip to the National Finals.

Everyone at the band would like to offer our warmest congratulations to our neighbours and friends at Uppermill Band who came 3rd in the same contest, and we wish them every success as they represent the North West at the National Finals in September!
