The Famous Dobcross Silver Band!

About the Band….

Dobcross Silver Band is a world famous Brass Band, established in 1875 and proud to represent the small village community of Dobcross in the Saddleworth area of Oldham. The Band is based at the equally famous Dobcross Band and Social Club which has received visits from bands as far away as New Zealand, Australia and America and is home to one of the annual Whit Friday Brass Band Contests.

The Band has enjoyed success at the highest level of brass banding throughout its history and performs in contests and concerts throughout the year, both around the Saddleworth area and farther afield.  

In addition to local contests and concerts, the Silver Band have a number of traditional engagements such as those at Manchester Cathedral, Shaw Playhouse and Whitsuntide event participation. The Band also play regularly by request at private functions such as weddings.
